How long do I have to sign up for?
The minimum storage period is two weeks. We invoice monthly in advance. When you want to move out all we ask is for one weeks’ notice. Any monies paid in advance will be refunded to you after this time.
When can I get to my belongings?
Your access will depend on your specific needs and the type of storage room that you take from us. At our facility, our standard free access is from 6 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Some of our customers have access only when the office is open, and we also have up to 24-hour access available for our commercial customers. Once we go through your needs, we will let you know what access is available to you. You will then have your own access card that is specific to your storage unit which grants you the freedom to come and go as you please.
How much notice must be given when I move out?
One weeks’ notice is required prior to moving out.
Do you offer a mover?
No but we are happy to organise it for you or to put you in contact with a reputable local mover. We also offer a Free Move In Service where we would provide you with a van and driver but you would provide the labour yourself.
Do you offer a Free Move in Service?
Yes we have a 3.5 tonne moving truck that we provide with a driver subject to availability. We will drive our truck to your house, you load it and we will drive it back to our facility where you will unload it into your room. The truck is available at specified times and must be reserved in advance.
What sort of security do you have?
Barons Self Storage has extensive security features including:
- 24 hour Closed Circuit TV located both inside and outside the main building monitoring all entrances & exits
- A sophisticated twin alarm system, one for the building and one for each storage unit
- Coded electronic access to the building accessible only with your own personal code
- You are the only key holder, and only you or your designee has access to your room
What do I need for identification?
You will need a picture ID (Driver’s license or passport) and a copy of your most recent utility bill.
What is included in the price- are there any hidden extras?
Our storage price is the price you pay. There are no hidden charges. However, you must provide your own lock for the unit and you must have adequate contents insurance for your possessions. We can provide both of these for you at move in if you do not have them.
How can I make a payment?
Once you take a unit with us we set you up on our automatic payment system. You must have a Credit Card or Debit Card in order to take a unit with us.
What sizes do you have and how much do they cost?
We have a wide variety of unit sizes from small lockers to larger garage sized units, we have over 25 different sizes available to offer choice and convenience.
How do I calculate how much storage space do I need?
We can assist you in determining the right size and room type. Just give us a brief description of what will be stored and we will help you determine how much space is needed, and which environment will work for you. You can also visit our “Size Estimator page” to see what will work for you!
Do you sell Locks, Packing and Moving supplies?
Yes, come and see us before you pack a thing, and we will be happy to assist you in selecting the right supplies.
Are your facilities heated?
All our facilities are kept to 14 degrees Celsius through gas heating. Their is also air flow above all units to ensure perfect conditions for the storage of your items.
